Kassoum Denon is an outstanding agronomist who graduated in Applied Sciences and Agronomy from the Rural Polytechnic Institute of Katibougou and has worked in rural development since 1977. He has headed up the Office du Niger and Segou irrigation schemes and was an advisor to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of agricultural issues before being appointed Minister of Agriculture in January 2016.
