Launch of the CORSAIR airline in Bamako

It was during a press conference entitled "launch of the Paris-Bamako CORSAIR line" at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako, on January 9, 2018, that the CEO of the airline CORSAIR, Mr. Pascal De Izaguirre announced the opening of this line.

"The Modibo Keita Bamako-Sénou airport will host the first Paris-Bamako flight of Corsair on Tuesday, January 30," he said before adding that the service will be provided by A330.

CORSAIR flights connecting Paris-Orly to Modibo Keïta International Airport will operate as part of a code-sharing agreement with the French airline Aigle Azur that is already operating 3 weekly flights to Bamako. Accordingly, both companies' customers will be able to benefit from a wide range of choices regarding flexibility and fare combinations. Corsair and Aigle Azur also intend to pool their management of the Bamako port of call and the marketing of flights in Mali.

Corsair's entry into the Malian air transport market will boost traffic and make it more accessible to a greater number of international visitors. Carried out with the full cooperation of the Malian authorities, the arrival of Corsair will, on the one hand, support the economic development of the country and, on the other hand, contribute to the opening up of Mali, which holds a central position in Africa. The visitors of Mali will be able to count on the presence of CORSAIR all the year round.

"The opening of the Paris / Bamako service marks, on the one hand, our commitment to Malians, and on the other, our desire to foster exchanges between our two countries. We are very happy to be able to contribute to the dynamism of the Malian market by providing a quality offer, in terms of comfort and performance, as well as the warm welcome of the crews that make Corsair's reputation ", concludes CORSAIR's CEO, Pascal from Izaguirre.

The Malian Minister of Transport and Opening-up has assured the management of CORSAIR all the support of the government in the implementation of this project, which will contribute to make Mali, a popular tourist destination.
