Cooperatives have been created by farmers to process and maximize the value of local milk, but given the technical and financial difficulties they have limited themselves to commercialization, hence the need to implement this project. La Laiterie du Fermier is an industrial company specialising in processing of local fresh milk and fruits.


'Raw milk supply: 
To improve security of supply, the Dairy will work with the farmers' cooperatives belonging to the Kati Circle (Neguéla and Nionsonbougou), Bougouni Circle (Sanakoroba, Ouéléssébougou, Keleya, and Bougouni) and Kangaba Cercle (Samaya, Djoliba, Kangaba, and Kela). They each have daily capacity of between 1,000 and 3,000 litres of raw milk in dry season and from 2,000 to up to 15,000 litres in the wet season. These capacities far exceed the Dairy's production.


  • To produce fresh, natural pasteurised milk and tetra-pack fruit juices.                                                                                                        

  • To develop a partnership agreement with all cooperatives so that the Dairy does not depend on a single cooperative.

  • To design quality products from local ingredients intended for consumption.
