As part of its strategy, Volailles Du Mali aims to set up an integrated poultry industrial unit, from nesting chicks to delivering chilled whole or cut chickens to points of sale by adhering to international hygiene standards and good manufacturing practices applicable to poultry production, both for chicks, chicken farming and those very sensitive to animal slaughter and respect for the cold supply chain.

The project consists of developing the aquaculture of the ‘Sahel Pineapple’ silvopastoral farm. A fish farm of:

  • 24 ponds of 600m2, designed to house tilapia, sheatfish, the African bonytongue and freshwater shrimp;
  • 8 ponds of 300m2, used for increasing the numbers of these same species;
  • 4 ponds of 150m2, used to ensure the natural reproduction of tilapias and the development of sheatfish larvae obtained through artificial reproduction.
  • The farm has the equipment and skills necessary to artificially produce sheatfish larva.

The project consists of slaughtering cattle, sheep, goats and camels in accordance with international standards, specifically respecting the ‘Q-HALLAL meat’ certification (requested dogmatic characteristics), for the purposes of marketing products on the national and regional stage, as well as exporting to Arab countries.
